Initial Award Abstract
Lung cancer is the deadliest cancer in the world and one of the most devastating consequences of tobacco smoking. Unfortunately, lung cancer is very difficult to treat because it is not just one disease - it is a constellation of many distinct diseases that are caused by an array of genetic changes in the lung cells. Here we develop approaches to model all these different types of lung cancer rapidly so that we can find a way to understand them individually and eventually treat them all.
